Salman Khan Receives Fresh Death Threat; Extortion Demand of ₹2 Crore Made

Bollywood actor Salman Khan has reportedly received another alarming death threat, this time from an unknown caller who demanded a staggering ₹2 crore. The Worli police have initiated an investigation into the matter after the actor was targeted via a series of WhatsApp messages sent to Mumbai Police’s Traffic Helpline number.

The threatening messages, which warned of severe consequences if the money was not paid, have prompted the Traffic Police to alert the Worli Police. Authorities have now registered an offense against the unknown sender and are actively working to trace the source of the threatening communications.

This unsettling incident follows closely on the heels of another threat made against Salman Khan. Just two days prior, the Mumbai Police arrested a 20-year-old man from Noida, Uttar Pradesh, for allegedly issuing a similar death threat to both Salman Khan and Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader Zeeshan Siddique.

Arrest of the Suspect

According to officials from the Nirmal Nagar police station in Mumbai, the accused first sent a threatening message to MLA Zeeshan Siddique’s helpline number before subsequently making a voice call in which he issued direct threats to both Siddique and Khan. This series of threats took place on a Friday, leading to a case being registered the following Monday.

With the aid of technical evidence, the suspect was apprehended in Noida, and he is currently being transported to Mumbai for further investigation. The threat was initially made to Siddique’s public relations office in Bandra East.

Connection to Recent Violence

The recent threats have raised serious concerns, especially considering the violent backdrop of the political climate. Just weeks earlier, Zeeshan Siddique’s father, Baba Siddique, a three-time MLA and former state minister, was tragically shot dead outside his son’s office on October 12. The notorious Lawrence Bishnoi gang claimed responsibility for the killing, citing Siddique’s close ties with Salman Khan as a motive for the assassination.

Following his father’s murder, Zeeshan Siddique revealed in an interview that Salman Khan was extremely worried about his safety and well-being, given the tragic events that had unfolded.

Previous Threats and Arrests

This latest threat to Salman Khan is not an isolated incident. Just last week, a man from Jamshedpur was arrested for threatening Khan in the name of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, demanding a ransom of ₹5 crore. The Mumbai Police took swift action by registering a case against the unknown individual and collaborating with local police in Jamshedpur to track down the suspect.

Interestingly, on October 21, the same sender who had threatened Khan previously sent an apology, claiming that the message was “sent by mistake.” This follows an earlier threat that had been reported to the Mumbai Traffic Police’s control room on October 18.
