Sanjay Singh Emerges From Jail: “Not A Time Of Celebration But War”

Following his release from jail, Aam Aadmi Party MP Sanjay Singh emphasized that it’s not a moment for celebration but for continued “fighting,” particularly as other AAP leaders, including the party’s “topmost leader” Arvind Kejriwal, remain incarcerated. Singh, who had been detained in relation to the alleged excise policy case for more than six months, was granted bail by the Supreme Court a day prior to his release from Tihar jail on Wednesday.

“This is not a time of celebration but a time of war. We all have to struggle together. The topmost leader of our party, Arvind Kejriwal, is in jail. Manish Sisodia and Satyendar Jain are also in jail. “We have a long fight ahead,” he said.

“We have to go amongst the people of Delhi, wherever the AAP candidates and the INDIA bloc candidates are fighting in the upcoming general elections. We have to work hard to defeat the dictatorial government. We have to throw them out of power,” he added.

He also mentioned his commitment to devising election strategies and a roadmap, ensuring full support for candidates from the INDIA bloc. “Let’s get ready to fight,” he declared. Additionally, Singh visited Manish Sisodia’s residence, where he met Sisodia’s wife and other relatives.

Previously, Sanjay Singh had raised the slogan ” Arvind Kejriwal chootenge, Jail ke taale tootenge,”. Praising Delhi Chief Minister and AAP national convenor Arvind Kejriwal, who is presently incarcerated in the case.

He was observed standing atop a vehicle parked outside the jail, addressing the supporters gathered there. Earlier on Tuesday, the Supreme Court had granted bail to Singh in the money laundering case linked to the Delhi excise policy scandal.
