Security Measures Intensify as Ayodhya Gears Up for Grand Ram Temple Consecration Ceremony

In preparation for the consecration ceremony of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya on January 22, the Uttar Pradesh Special Director General of Police (Law and Order), Prashant Kumar, has issued an advisory for deployed police personnel. The directive states that officers involved in the Ayodhya inauguration should refrain from using smartphones during the event. This precautionary measure aims to ensure heightened focus and attention to security matters.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to attend the ceremony, which is expected to draw VVIP guests from both India and abroad. The event, marked by Vedic rituals for the Pran-Pratishtha (consecration) of Ram Lalla, will commence on January 16, a week ahead of the main ceremony on January 22. Lakshmi Kant Dixit, a priest from Varanasi, will conduct the central rituals for the consecration.

Ayodhya is preparing for the Amrit Mahautsav from January 14 to January 22, featuring various events, including a 1008 Hundi Mahayagya to feed thousands of devotees. The Sri Ram Janambhoomi Trust is making arrangements to accommodate 10,000-15,000 people, with several tent cities being erected in Ayodhya. Local authorities are actively implementing enhanced security measures and logistical arrangements to ensure a smooth and spiritually enriching experience for the anticipated surge of attendees during this grand consecration ceremony.
