NIA has been conducting raids at multiple locations in J&K in cases involving terror activities of chiefs and members of proscribed terrorist organisations using cyber-space in the UT, targeting minorities, security personnel, and spreading communal disharmony.

According to reports, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) has been conducting raids at multiple locations in Jammu and Kashmir in cases involving terror activities of chiefs and members of proscribed terrorist organisations using cyber-space in the Union Territory, targeting minorities, security personnel, and spreading communal disharmony.

According to reports, the case involves a criminal conspiracy to carry out terrorist and subversive activities hatched by cadres and Over Ground Workers (OGWs) of various proscribed organisations and their affiliates offshoots operating under various aliases at the behest of their Pakistani commanders and handlers.

They are involved in carrying out terrorist attacks in Jammu and Kashmir by using cyberspace, targeting minorities and security personnel, and spreading communal disharmony.
The NIA filed the case on its own initiative on June 21 of last year.

On December 23, last year, the agency conducted searches in 14 districts across Jammu and Kashmir, including Kulgam, Pulwama, Anantnag, Sopore, and Jammu. During the searches, the agency sleuths recovered various incriminating materials from the searched premises, including digital devices, SIM cards, and digital storage devices.
