A Kashmiri Pandit working as a security guard at a bank was shot dead by terrorists on Sunday morning in the Achan area of Kashmir’s Pulwama district, according to a police officer. According to the officer, the deceased was identified as Sanjay Sharma, son of Kashinath Sharma, and worked as a bank security guard. Security has been increased, and the entire area has been cordoned off in order to apprehend the attackers.
According to the Kashmir police, the terrorists opened fire on Sanjay Sharma, a member of the Kashmiri Pandit community, as he was walking to a local market in Achan. With the assistance of locals, the injured person was rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment, where he died from bullet wounds.
There was an armed guard in his village, and more information about the incident is awaited, according to Kashmir police. Terrorists opened fire and injured a man, Asif Ganai, four days earlier outside a mosque in the Anantnag district. The injured people survived their injuries.
A week ago, Jammu and Kashmir police arrested three militant associates of the Hizb-ul-Mujahideen group in South Kashmir’s Kulgam district. According to Kashmir police, the operation was launched in response to a tip about militants carrying illegal arms and ammunition.
Following the information, the Kulgam police department launched a search near Daderkoot Alamganj to apprehend them. The police took a pistol, two pistol magazines, and 13 live pistol rounds from the accused’s possession. According to the police, all of the accused have been detained, and the investigation has revealed that they engaged in terror crimes and even provided support to terrorist organisations.
