The Kashmir Files, directed by Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri, won Best Film at the Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival Awards on Monday in Mumbai. Vivek took to Twitter to share the news, expressing gratitude to “all the victims of terrorism and to all the people of India for your blessings.” “#TheKashmirFiles wins the ‘Best Film’ award at the #DadaSahebPhalkeAwards2023.

“This award is dedicated to all the victims of terrorism and to all the people of India for your blessings,” he wrote.

Congratulatory messages filled Vivek’s comment area. “Wow! “Congratulations, well deserved,” said one social media user. “Great congratulations to the team,” said another.

‘The Kashmir Files’ investigates the alleged genocide and deportation of Kashmiri Pandits in 1990, during the Jammu and Kashmir insurgency. Anupam Kher, Mithun Chakraborty, Pallavi Joshi, Darshan Kumaar, Chinmay Mandlekar, and Bhasha Sumbli star in the film. The picture performed well at the box office.

Alia Bhatt won the award for ‘Best Actress’ at the Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival Awards 2023. Her husband Ranbir Kapoor got the ‘Best Actor’ award for his performance in ‘Brahmastra’. Legendary performer Rekha was recognised for her ‘Outstanding Contribution To The Film Industry’.
