Congress Leader Sonia Gandhi also stood by the side of Jaya Bachchan who demanded an apology from Jagdeep Dhankar over the tone he used on the Members of Parliament.

It all started whne Jaya Bachchan stood up and said, “I want to say this to you, sir—I am an artist, I understand body language and expressions. And, sir, please forgive me, but your tone is not acceptable. We are colleagues, sir, and while you may be sitting in a position of authority…”
To which Jagdeep Dhankar replied, “Jaya ji, you have earned great respect, but you must understand that an actor is subject to the director’s vision. You haven’t seen what I have witnessed from my perspective. I don’t want to be put through schooling every day. I am someone who goes above and beyond, and you criticize my tone…”
