In anticipation of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, Union Minister Anurag Thakur has unveiled the #MeraPehlaVoteDeshKeLiye Anthem on X, aiming to encourage young voters to actively participate in the democratic process. Prime Minister Narendra Modi echoed this sentiment, urging citizens to spread the message of the “Mera Pehla Vote Desh Ke Liye” campaign among first-time voters.

Sharing his message on X, PM Modi called for a more participative electoral process and invited individuals from various backgrounds to contribute to the campaign in their unique ways. Anurag Thakur, announcing the anthem’s launch, emphasized the importance of the campaign and urged everyone to join in, encouraging young voters to exercise their democratic right.

The #MeraPehlaVoteDeshKeLiye Anthem is a collaborative effort to bolster the voter awareness campaign initiated by the Election Commission of India. The anthem seeks to engage the youth and motivate first-time voters to actively participate in shaping the country’s future through the electoral process.

In his Mann Ki Baat address, Prime Minister Modi highlighted the significance of youth participation in the electoral process, stating that the 18th Lok Sabha would symbolize the aspirations of the youth. He expressed pride in the passion and energy of India’s youth, emphasizing that increased youth participation would lead to better results for the nation.

PM Modi appealed to influencers on Instagram and YouTube, including those from the film industry, literature, and other professions, to actively engage in the campaign and inspire first-time voters to contribute to the democratic exercise. The campaign aims to celebrate the power of collective voices online and in colleges across the country.
