Union Minister Giriraj Singh Criticizes Congress President Kharge’s Remarks

Union Minister Giriraj Singh strongly criticized Congress National President Mallikarjun Kharge for his remarks on Prime Minister Narendra Modi, accusing him and the Congress party of misleading the public. Singh’s comments came after Kharge attacked PM Modi during the unveiling of the logo and slogan of Congress’s ‘Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra,’ alleging that the Prime Minister had not visited Manipur amid ethnic violence.

Giriraj Singh countered Kharge’s claims, stating, “The Congress conducted ‘political’ tourism by visiting Manipur. During the Congress’s government, Manipur had been on fire for six years. Now, our Prime Minister and the Home Minister are together working on a solution.”

Singh further addressed the recent attack on an Enforcement Directorate (ED) team in West Bengal, describing the situation in the state as lacking in democracy. He went on to assert, “There is nothing called ‘democracy’ in West Bengal. This is the ‘Kim Jong Un’s’ government. The government works to break the federal structure.”

The attack on the ED team occurred on Friday morning in the North 24 Parganas district, where the officials’ car was targeted and windows were broken. The ED was conducting raids related to an alleged ration scam case at the residences of former Bongaon Municipality Chairman Shankar Adhya and TMC leader Sheikh Shahjahan.

Shahjahan, who serves as the Fisheries and Animal Resources Officer of North 24 Parganas Zilla Parishad and is the Block President of Sandeshkhali 1, faced protests from his supporters during the ED raid. The situation escalated into a violent attack on ED officials, resulting in injuries to two agency personnel.

The attack on the ED team has raised concerns about the state of law and order in West Bengal, with Giriraj Singh condemning the incident as a threat to democracy and accusing the state government of breaking the federal structure. The political landscape continues to be tense as leaders from opposing parties exchange barbs amid the ongoing developments.
