Sources indicate that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will finalize its election strategy for Uttar Pradesh on Tuesday, just before announcing candidates for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
According to sources, a crucial meeting of the UP BJP is scheduled for 3:30 pm today, preceding the Parliamentary Board meeting set to take place in Delhi in the coming days.
The meeting will see the presence of CM Yogi, Baijayant Panda, Dharampal Singh, Bhupendra Chaudhary, both deputy CMs, presidents of all fronts, regional presidents, and state officials.
Sources mention that the agenda includes devising a strategy for rallies during the Lok Sabha elections, with plans for PM Modi, CM Yogi, Amit Shah, and JP Nadda to cover every Lok Sabha constituency in UP. Responsibilities will be allocated to officials to ensure the agenda set in the Delhi meeting is executed.
Meanwhile, the BJP unveiled the ‘Phir Ek Baar Modi Sarkar’ campaign anthem during the National Council meeting at Bharat Mandapam ahead of the Lok Sabha elections. The anthem, featuring lyrics in 24 Indian regional languages, underscores the theme of inclusive development championed by the Narendra Modi government.
The campaign slogan was first introduced by party national president JP Nadda in January 2024, with party leaders undertaking wall paintings across the country under this theme.
In parallel, a two-day national convention of the BJP began in Delhi aimed at strategizing for the Lok Sabha elections. The convention commenced with a meeting of the party’s national office-bearers, followed by the hoisting of the party flag by National President Jagat Prakash Nadda.
Earlier, the Samajwadi Party (SP) released another list of 11 candidates for the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections. This comes after the announcement of 16 candidates on January 30, with the polls expected to take place in April-May this year.
