Uttar Pradesh To Launch E-Vehicle Booking Portal Ahead Of Mahakumbh 2025

In a move to promote sustainability and convenience, the Uttar Pradesh government will introduce an online portal for booking e-rickshaws and e-autos ahead of the Mahakumbh Mela 2025. The initiative, part of the state’s “Green Mahakumbh” project, aims to provide eco-friendly and affordable travel options for the estimated 45 crore devotees attending the event.

From December 15th onward, reservations for these e-vehicles through applications will take forth, flatlining at major railway stations, bus terminals, airports, and hotels. These e-house will adhere to sets of rules and are closely monitored through GPS technology, which charges per kilometer for costs association. The project will be organized by Comfy E Mobility, an Uttar Pradesh-based enterprise that employs trained and verified drivers and additionally teaches them how to use Google Voice Assistants for effective communication.

There will also be “Pink Taxi” services available on the portal, exclusively for the use of women drivers, making it a safer option for travel. In addition to this, more than 7,000 roadways buses, 550 shuttle buses, and 3,000 trains, including 1,000 additional arrangements, will be made for Mahakumbh Mela. The Chief Minister, Yogi Adityanath, said the initiative is for providing convenience in travelling but would also go a long way in preserving the environment.

Manu Gupta, creator of Comfy E Mobility, noted the platform in offering safe eco-friendly travels and employment avenues. CEO RK Chauhan further added that this initiative stands for social consciousness and environmental responsibility.
