Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami met Garhwal MP Anil Baluni at Uttarakhand Sadan in Delhi on Friday to discuss relief efforts in Rudraprayag.
CM Pushkar Singh Dhami addressed various issues, including state development following the damage caused by heavy rains and ongoing relief work, with the Garhwal MP.
Last week, heavy rains stranded many pilgrims and tourists on the Sonprayag-Kedarnath road in the Garhwal region, resulting in 17 deaths and halting the Kedarnath Dham Yatra.
Following a review of the relief and rescue operations and reconstruction efforts in the rain-affected areas of Rudraprayag district, the CM directed authorities to resume the Kedarnath Dham Yatra by foot as soon as possible. Dhami also conducted an aerial survey of the affected areas and reviewed all departments related to the Chardham Yatra route, inquiring about the damage caused by the heavy rains.

According to the Rudraprayag district administration on Tuesday, about 150 local residents have been moved from Kedarnath to Bhimbali under the supervision of the NDRF and SDRF. The NDRF is also transporting 161 people from Jangalchatti to Chirbasa.
Additionally, the completion of a footbridge constructed by the army over the Mandakini River in Sonprayag has greatly aided rescue and relief operations, as reported by the Rudraprayag district administration.
On Monday, the Indian Air Force airlifted 201 people, including 17 NDRF personnel, from the Kedarnath Valley to safer areas. Approximately 2,000 kg of relief material was also supplied to critical areas of the state by Monday.
