Avalanche warnings were issued for Baramulla by the Jammu Kashmir Disaster Management Authority (JKDMA) on Sunday for the following day.
“Avalanche with Low Danger Level is likely to occur above 3000 metres above sea level over Baramulla district in the next 24 hours,” read an official statement.
Precautions should be taken, it was advised to the locals.
“People living in these areas are advised to take precautions and avoid venturing into the avalanche-prone areas till further orders,” it read.
Avalanche warnings were earlier issued for the Ganderbal district over the course of the following 24 hours by JKDMA on April 27.
