In response to the shocking incident that involved a viral video of a BJP leader peeing on a tribal man’s face in Sidhi, Shivraj Singh Chouhan, the chief minister of Madhya Pradesh, met the victim of the Sidhi urination incident on Thursday at the CM residence in Bhopal.
Chouhan greeted the victim, Dashmat Rawat, and showed respect by washing his feet.He also apologized to the victim for the incident and said that he was deeply disturbed and filled with pain after seeing the video.”My heart is filled with pain; Dashmat ji this is an attempt to share your pain. Also, I apologize to you. For me, only people are god,”CM Chouhan wrote after speaking with the victim.
Shukla, the accused, was taken into custody early on Wednesday and detained under the NSA.
An order in this regard was issued by Sidhi Collector, Saket Malviya, and the accused was sent to Central Jail Rewa.His illegal construction was also demolished by the local administration on the same day.
An other video that emerged on social media on Wednesday showed the suspect, Pravesh Shukla, being taken by police for medical examination.
A case has been registered against the accused under sections 294, 504 of the Indian Penal Code and SC/ST Act.
