WATCH: PM Modi Adventures In Assam’s Kaziranga National Park

Prime Minister Narendra Modi embarked on his inaugural visit to Assam’s Kaziranga National Park today, where he partook in both an elephant and a jeep safari.

This marks the first instance of a Prime Minister visiting the UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1957, as reported by the Assam Chief Minister’s Office.

Beginning with an elephant safari, Modi proceeded to undertake a jeep safari within the Mihimukh area, situated within the Central Kohora range of the National Park.

 

He was also seen feeding the elephant of the National Park. He said, “Feeding sugar cane to Lakhimai, Pradyumna and Phoolmai. Kaziranga is known for the rhinos but there are also large number of elephants there, along with several other species.”

He shared pictures and said, “I would urge you all to visit Kaziranga National Park and experience the unparalleled beauty of its landscapes and the warmth of the people of Assam. It’s a place where every visit enriches the soul and connects you deeply with the heart of Assam.”

Amid his visit to the National park, he shared, on X, “Interacted with Van Durga, the team of women forest guards who are at the forefront of conservation efforts, bravely protecting our forests and wildlife. Their dedication and courage in safeguarding our natural heritage is truly inspiring.”
