The women coach who accused Haryana Sports Minister Sandeep Singh of sexual harassment on Tuesday stated that Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar was attempting to influence the investigation.
The woman informed the reporters after appearing before the Chandigarh Police Special Investigation Team (SIT), “The SIT has been created, and everything has been explained in detail. Haryana’s Chief Minister is attempting to sway the probe. The event occurred in Chandigarh…I am being pressed to remain silent.”
She alleged that she has been receiving phone calls requesting that she leave the country, for which she has been promised Rs 1 crore.
The instructor further stated that Haryana Police is harassing her.
She further claimed “I informed the Chandigarh Police SIT everything in full. I also informed the SIT of the outstanding concerns. I heard the Chief Minister’s remark this morning, in which the Chief Minister takes Sandeep Singh’s side. The Chandigarh Police did not put me under any duress. Haryana Police is attempting to exert pressure on me.”
She continued “I’m getting phone calls saying I can leave and go to whatever nation I choose and collect Rs 1 crore for a month.”
Dipanshu Bansal, the coach’s lawyer, said that the Chandigarh Police had neither detained nor investigated the former minister.
