JP Nadda Takes Holy Dip At Mahakumbh 2025 With Family

Union Health Minister JP Nadda, along with his family, visited the ongoing Mahakumbh 2025 in Prayagraj on Saturday. He was warmly received by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. The two leaders, accompanied by Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak, took a holy dip at the Triveni Sangam, the confluence of the Ganga, Yamuna, and the mythical Saraswati rivers.

Following the sacred dip, Nadda and Yogi Adityanath participated in prayer rituals at Sangam and performed aarti. The BJP national president’s visit highlights the significance of the Mahakumbh, a grand spiritual gathering that draws millions of devotees and dignitaries from across the country and beyond.

Earlier, Kerala Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar also visited the Mahakumbh and took part in religious ceremonies. Visuals from the event showed Arlekar enjoying a boat ride with his family, taking in the grandeur of Triveni Sangam. Addressing the media after his visit, Arlekar expressed gratitude towards CM Yogi Adityanath for reviving ancient traditions and praised the state government’s efforts in organizing the religious festival.

“We have revived the old traditions of the nation, and for this, I thank Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. Devotees from across the country are participating in the Mahakumbh. I pray to Mother Ganga for the development and unity of our nation,” Arlekar said.

The Mahakumbh 2025, which commenced on January 13, will conclude on February 26. According to CM Yogi Adityanath, over 60 crore devotees have taken a holy dip in the Triveni Sangam between January 13 and February 22. He further stated that the event has garnered international recognition, with people from around the world appreciating its cultural and spiritual significance.

CM Yogi also took the opportunity to address critics, stating that those who do not favor the nation’s progress are attempting to defame the event. “The whole world is praising the Mahakumbh. However, some individuals who dislike the development and potential of our country and state are making negative comments. Prayagraj Mahakumbh has shown the mirror to those who raise questions on good work and create hurdles in the path of positive initiatives,” the Chief Minister said in his address on Saturday.

The Mahakumbh continues to be a major attraction, drawing spiritual leaders, political figures, and devotees in unprecedented numbers, further solidifying its place as one of the most significant religious gatherings in the world.
