Bansuri Swaraj Participates In Delhi’s Tiranga Yatra Event

Ahead of Independence Day, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Bansuri Swaraj participated in the ‘Tiranga Yatra’ held in Delhi on Sunday. MP Bansuri Swaraj was seen riding a bike and waving the ‘tiranga’ (national flag) during the event.

“At the call of PM Modi, ‘Har Ghar Tiranga‘ has now become a mass movement. As we celebrate Independence Day, I urge everyone to display the national flag at their homes,” MP Bansuri Swaraj said.

Earlier on Saturday, BJP President JP Nadda, along with Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, flagged off the ‘Tiranga Yatra’ in Rajkot, Gujarat. Addressing a public gathering during the Tiranga Yatra, Nadda remarked, “As we embark on this ‘Tiranga Yatra’ and see the tricolour all around us, we are reminded of our freedom struggle. The state of Gujarat has played a significant role in our nation’s independence movement.”

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has launched the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign across the country. During this period, the central government has urged citizens to hoist the tricolour on every house, shop, and office. Additionally, a cleanliness drive will be carried out.

Earlier, Prime Minister Narendra Modi appealed to citizens to hoist the national flag at their homes as part of the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign for the 78th Independence Day on August 15. In the 112th episode of ‘Mann Ki Baat’ on July 28, Prime Minister Modi encouraged all Indians to participate in the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign to mark Independence Day. He highlighted the growing trend of taking selfies with the national flag and sharing them on social media. He also urged party leaders and workers to ensure that the national flag is displayed on houses, offices, and shops.

The ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign is part of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, which began in 2021 to encourage people to bring the Tiranga home and hoist it in celebration of the 75th year of India’s independence. The initiative aims to foster patriotism and raise awareness about the Indian National Flag.
