CM Dhami Inaugurates Stalls By Women’s Groups At Uttarakhand Secretariat, Boosting Local Talent

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami inaugurated stalls set up by women’s groups under the Chief Minister’s Empowered Bahana Utsav Yojana and the Chief Minister’s Women Self-Help Group Empowerment Scheme at the Secretariat on Monday.

During the event, the Chief Minister also purchased local products, such as ghee, while observing the stalls.

The Chief Minister highlighted that the state government is committed to advancing women’s self-help groups through various schemes. He noted that women in the state are producing high-quality goods through these groups, which are enhancing the identity of local products and creating new employment opportunities.

He mentioned that self-help groups are currently making rakhis in preparation for Raksha Bandhan. The government is providing a platform for women to sell their products conveniently.

Dhami urged all residents to purchase locally made rakhis and other products for the upcoming Raksha Bandhan. At the Secretariat, stalls were set up by various self-help groups, including the Devbhoomi Self-Help Group from Barowala, Vaibhav Laxmi Self-Help Group from Dakpathar, Milan Self-Help Group from Raipur, Aastha Cluster Level Federation from Sahaspur, Vikas Cluster Level Federation from Haldwani Almora, Aastha Cluster Level Federation, Virangana Cluster Level Federation, and other groups.

Raksha Bandhan, also known as Rakhi, will be celebrated on Monday, August 19 this year. It is a traditional Hindu festival dedicated to celebrating the bond between brothers and sisters.
