Congress draws parallel between BJP- Chinese Communist party over LAC clash

Congress leader Randeep Singh Surjewala called the BJP's response to recent Tawang clash between the Indian Army and the Chinese Army "weak-kneed," and later drew a parallel between the BJP and the Chinese Communist Party, citing a tweet by Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan from 2016.

Congress leader Randeep Singh Surjewala called the BJP’s response to recent Tawang clash between the Indian Army and the Chinese Army “weak-kneed,” and later drew a parallel between the BJP and the Chinese Communist Party, citing a tweet by Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan from 2016.

Surjewala highlighted comparisons between the BJP and the Communist Party of China, using a 2016 tweet by CM Chouhan. In 2016, Chouhan tweeted, “The Communist Party of China and the Bharatiya Janata Dal (BJP) have both done extensive social work. In this regard, the two parties share a lot of parallels.”

The Congress lawmaker tweeted a screenshot of Chouhan’s 2016 comments and referred to it “A reminder of the parallels between the BJP and the Chinese Communist Party! Is this the explanation for the shaky reaction to Chinese incursions?”

The event happened after a border incident between India and China was reported on December 9 in the Tawang section of the LAC.

Earlier on December 13, Union Home Minister Amit Shah criticised the commotion in Parliament over the problems.
