On Tuesday, the Congress party held an All India Congress Committee (AICC) meeting in Delhi, chaired by party president Mallikarjun Kharge.

This meeting was attended by the Leader of the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi, Provincial Congress Committee (PCC) presidents, state-in-charges, and AICC general secretaries.

According to a tweet by Jairam Ramesh, the Congress party passed a resolution in the presence of its officials. The resolution outlined major demands, including the formation of a joint parliamentary committee on Adani, a caste census, and a call for respect for the Indian Constitution.

 

In addition, the meeting urged the union government to take action to halt targeted attacks on minorities and their places of worship in Bangladesh. The participants also expressed condolences and concern over the devastating landslide in Wayanad.

The meeting was convened to address organizational matters and prepare for the upcoming assembly elections in several states.

In the coming weeks, the Indian National Congress, also known as the grand old party, plans to launch public campaigns across the country focusing on the issues highlighted during the meeting.
