In a shocking incident, the Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) government has fired six officials, including 5 police officers, for their involvement in drug trafficking used to finance terrorist activities.

In a shocking incident, the Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) government has fired six officials, including 5 police officers, for their involvement in drug trafficking used to finance terrorist activities.

As per the investigation, these officials were a part of a complex narco-terror network. Which was orchestrated by Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) and several terrorist organizations operating from the country.

In addition, the network facilitated the distribution of narcotics. Whatever profits they made, were used for financing terror activities.

‘Six government officials, including five policemen and a teacher, were found involved in terror financing through drug sales.’ said official. Quoting PTI.

Meanwhile Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha has utilized Article 311(2)(c) of an Indian constitution to terminate the employment of these officials.

This article was invoked, when the detailed probe exposed their involvement in this narco-terror network.

Moreover, the J&k police had managed to gather incriminating evidence, which showed, that these officials collaborated & acted as moles.

The names of the culprits are Farooq Ahmad Sheikh ( head constable),  Khalid Hussian Shah (constable) constable Rehmat Shah, Irshad Ahmad Chalkoo (Constable), Saif Din (constable) and Nazam Din (govt.teacher).

Earlier in a previous month, four govt officials which include two police constables were fired for their ties in narco terrorism.

The names of the terminated employees were Mushtaq Ahmad Pir (Police Constable), Imtiyaz Ahmad Lone, Bazil Ahmad Mir (Junior Assistant of school education department) and  Mohd Zaid Shah (worker of rural-development department).
