Maharashtra: 19 year old student stabbed to death on Mumbai road, accused absconding

In a tragic and shocking incident a 19-year-old student was stabbed to death on a Mumbai road and the culprit is alleged to have fled India.

The country has not yet moved on from the heinous murder case of Shraddha Walkar in the national capital Delhi and now in yet another tragic and shocking incident a 19-year-old student was stabbed to death on a Mumbai road and the culprit is alleged to have fled India. According to Chunabhatti police, two unidentified individuals stabbed a college student, 19 years old, to death with sharp-edged weapons in the middle of a Mumbai street on Thursday evening.

Mukhtar Sheikh, a resident of the Chembur region, has been identified as the deceased. The police say that two youths stabbed Sheikh around 6.30 p.m. on Thursday and then fled the scene. The suspects are currently running away.

The student who was severely injured by the tragic attack was taken to the nearest hospital with severe injuries, where the doctor declared him dead, according to the police.

In Mumbai’s Chunabhatti neighborhood, the victim was apparently on his way home from college. The police say that the case has something to do with a love affair.

The girl had previously been in love with a boy, but she broke up with him and started dating the deceased who has been identified as Mukhtar Sheikh, according to the police.

As a result of this love affair wit the new boyfriend, the accused was filled with rage and he along with a friend decided to take this shocking step.

However, one of the murder suspects has been identified by the police.

The Chunabhatti police have filed a case against both the accused under sections 302 and 34 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). The crime branch and the police are continuing their investigation.

Cases like these one are not just tragic but shameful at the same time. Over the past few years crimes revolving around youths and teenagers have increased drastically raising serious questions about India’s future.
