In the auspicious Hindu Month of Sawan (Monsoon), Kanvarias or Shiv bhakts go for the Kanvar Yatra which is known to be an annual pilgrimage undertaken by the devotees of Shiva.  They journey to sacred Hindu sites such as Haridwar, Gaumukh, and Gangotri in Uttarakhand, as well as Ajgaibinath and Sultanganj in Bhagalpur, Bihar, to collect the holy waters of the Ganges River.

August 12, marking the last auspecious Monday of the Sawan Month (Monsoon), it was found that a Muslim devotee of Lord Shiva, was seen carrying the holy Gnaga water and offered it to the Shivling. Man from Aligarh Aas Mohammad Khan walked about 45 km carrying the holy Ganga water to offer to Lord Shiva.

He said that he is worshipping Lord Shiva for the last 20 years.
