Amid the hope and desire of Vinesh Phogat getting a silver medal, several renowned personalities have come forward to support her. Recently, tv actor Nakuul Mehta shared a motivational poetic video in support of Vinesh.
He said that Vinesh has more sparkle than any silver or gold medal. He motivates her saying, ‘Kya khoob ladi mardani wo” (How splendidly she fought, that warrior woman.)
Here’s the full poem on Vinesh:
Vinesh, agar tumhe ladta na dekha hota,
Jantar Mantar ke maidano se lekar Paris ke akhado tak,
Shayad hum kabhi nahi jaan pate ki ye sone aur chandi ke dange kitne be-imani hote hain.
Inme wo chamak kahan jo tere jazbe, tere kot me hain.
Teri kushti ki baat kya hi kare hum, uss tehni se uss roz Suzaki ki aankhon me thi.
Farsh pe padi uss Japani chori se pucho, wo bata deti.
Sherniyon ka wajan gude se nahi tola karte.
Bakwaas hai wo filmi line bhi jo kehti hai, “Silver laayegi to bhul di jayegi, Gold laayegi to misaal ban jayegi.”
Tu bina gold aur silver ki misaal hai, Vinesh.
Tune hume sikhaya ki sapne kabhi usoolo se badhkar nahi hote. Tera hausla, teri joojh hum sab ne dekhi hai.
Dekhe hai tujhe bhasm karne wale bhi.
Tu koi mamuli chidiya nahi, yunani parinda hai.
Jalega, khaakh hoga, phir uthega, phir raakh hoga lekin
Baar baar suraj ki aankhon me aankh daal kar kahega, “Mujhe insaaf chahiye.”
Aaj tujhe behen ya beti nahi kahunga, Vinesh.
Jo mulk insaaf na de sake, use kisi ko behen ya beti kehne ka haq nahi hai.
Magar itna zarur kahunga, jo jagah tune humare dil me banai hai,
Wo duniya ke kisi bhi podium se kai unchi hai.
Cheer up, champion. Dange aate jaate rahenge.
Humara asli sona to tum ho.
Olympic ki sheet me tumhara naam darj nahi hua to kya hua.
Aane wali peedhiyan yaad rakhenge, “Kya khoob ladi mardani!”
Fighter. Olympian. Champion. A poem dedicated to one of our all time greatest. The one and only Vinesh Phogat. @Phogat_Vinesh
