In an exclusive report, NewsX analyzed the NIA chargesheet, uncovering the nexus between Khalistan militants and gangsters involved in terrorism.

Exclusive: NewsX Accesses NIA Chargesheet Unveiling Khalistan-Gangster Terror Nexus

In a groundbreaking development, NewsX has obtained exclusive access to the National Investigation Agency (NIA) chargesheet detailing the case of Arshdeep Singh Gill, also known as Arsh Dalla, a Canada-based gangster recently designated as an Individual Terrorist by the Government of India. This revelation sheds light on the intricate web of terror, criminality, and cross-border connections surrounding Gill and the notorious Khalistan Tiger Force (KTF).

The chargesheet, filed on November 17, 2021, before the NIA Special Court in SAS Nagar Mohali, exposes Gill’s alleged involvement in a range of heinous activities, including murder, extortion, targeted killings, terror financing, and cross-border smuggling of drugs and weapons. Gill, who is presently residing in Canada, is believed to be a close associate of Hardeep Singh Nijjar, the Chief of KTF and another designated terrorist under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UA(P) Act).

According to the NIA chargesheet, Gill’s criminal journey is deeply intertwined with the formation and operations of the Khalistan Tiger Force. Notably, this notorious terrorist organization came into existence in 2011 under the leadership of Jagtar Singh, alias Tara, who was earlier associated with the Babbar Khalsa International (BKI). The formation of the KTF marked a significant split from BKI, driven by differences between Tara and Wadhawa Singh, BKI’s leader.

Following his arrest in Thailand on January 5, 2015, Jagtar Singh alias Tara’s capture led to the ascension of Hardeep Singh Nijjar as the Chief of KTF. Nijjar has since played a pivotal role in orchestrating terror activities and radicalizing individuals for the cause of Khalistan, which seeks to establish a separate state and challenges India’s territorial integrity and national security.

The chargesheet further delves into specific terror activities associated with the KTF and Arshdeep Singh Gill. One of the chilling revelations is a conspiracy hatched in March 2021 under the direction of Hardeep Singh Nijjar and in association with Gill. The conspiracy aimed to kidnap and assassinate Shakti Singh, a follower of Dera Sacha Sauda led by Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh. The plot was allegedly motivated by a desire to avenge the alleged sacrilege of Shri Guru Granth Sahib.

The chargesheet also highlights Gill’s role in facilitating the KTF’s terror activities. He reportedly provided critical details of targets, arranged weapons, funneled terror funds through various channels, and raised funds through extortion to strengthen the organization’s activities. Moreover, a significant portion of the extorted money was allegedly routed to Gill in Canada through hawala operators.

The chargesheet implicates Gill, alongside other accused individuals, in a range of charges, including IPC sections 115, 201, 120B, 385, 386, 387, and 471, as well as sections 17, 18, 18B, 20, 21, and 23 of the UA(P) Act, Section 22(C) of the NDPS Act, and Section 25(1A), 25(6), 25(7), and 29 of the Arms Act.

The linkage between various members of terror gangs and proscribed organizations is a concerning aspect brought to light by the chargesheet. Members of different gangs reportedly forged associations both inside and outside jails, collaborating to increase their influence across states like Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, Chandigarh, and Delhi. These gangs are also alleged to have connections with extremist elements within Indian jails and abroad.

As the chargesheet reveals, Arshdeep Singh Gill’s designation as an Individual Terrorist is part of India’s broader efforts to combat terrorism, safeguard national security, and dismantle networks associated with organizations like the KTF. The government’s proscription of the KTF as a terrorist organization underscores its commitment to countering terrorism in all its forms.

This exclusive access to the NIA chargesheet offers a comprehensive look into the complex world of terror and criminality surrounding Arshdeep Singh Gill and the KTF, providing invaluable insights into their activities and cross-border connections.
