The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has filed a charge sheet against two individuals in case RC-04/2024/NIA/RPR. The case involves the arrest of two Maoist cadres from the Kuyemari area committee of the proscribed terrorist organization CPI (Maoist), who were found carrying arms and explosives intended for attacking security forces.
The accused have been identified as Vinod Awalam and Ashu Korsa.
The charge sheet was submitted to the Special Court in Jagdalpur under various sections of the Indian Penal Code, the Arms Act, the Explosive Substances Act, and the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UA(P) Act), according to the NIA.

Both accused are members of CPI (Maoist) and are alleged to have been involved in planning attacks on security forces. They were apprehended along with weapons and other incriminating materials from Mujalgondi village in Kanker district.
The two accused were part of the protection and supply team for senior CPI (Maoist) leaders and were planning to execute terrorist attacks on security forces in coordination with other cadres of the CPI (Maoist), a proscribed terrorist organization by the Government of India.
Further investigations in the case are ongoing.
