Prime Minister Narendra Modi shortly to address the Lok Sabha today, responding to the Motion of Thanks on the President’s address. This follows heated remarks by the Leader of the Opposition Rahul Gandhi, who accused the government of promoting violence in the name of Hinduism. PM Modi pitties that if India’s Soldiers had been provided with bullet proof jacket during the Congress Regime, then they wouldn’t have to die. Drawing Blames on Congress Party, PM Modi also said that Congress not only did not do anything for the soldiers but it weakened India’s defence.

Taking a jibe at the Congress, PM Modi said “”It’s third big loss for the opposition. But, they think they have defeated us, This time around, they somehow managed 99 seats,”. Though on opposition’s demand to speak on Congress, Seems like PM Modi deliberately ignored.
“In 10 years, we managed to bring economy from number 10 to number 5. Now we will take it to number 3,” said PM Modi.

As Prime Minister Narendra Modi continued to speak, the Opposition stormed into the House ,demanding justice for Manipur.
Speaker Om Birla tried in vain to restore order in the House as the Opposition persisted in its protest, chanting phrases like “Dictatorship won’t be tolerated” and compelling Modi to shorten his address.

PM Modi emphasises on his govt. policy that says, “Jan seva” is Prabhu seva. He also said that his govt. is doing possible words to eradicate corruption. He states “Corruption hollowed our country like a termite”.
As the opposition is constantly creating noise and chanting slogans like “nyay do, nyay do” (bring us justice), PM Modi faces trouble in speaking. Om Birla critices opposition for not abiding by the House’s conduct of manner.

On Tuesday, Congress MP Rahul Gandhi addressed a letter to Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, expressing concern over parts of his speech being expunged from the official records.
“I am shocked to see that a considerable portion of my speech has been removed from the proceedings under the guise of expunction,” Gandhi wrote.
Gandhi emphasized that his speech reflected “ground reality.”
“It is the right of every member to voice the concerns of the people on the House floor. I was exercising that right and fulfilling my duty to the people of this country yesterday,” he stated.

On LoP Rahul Gandhi’s speech in the Lok Sabha, Shashi Tharoor tells PTI: “I didn’t find anything wrong in what Rahul Gandhi said in Parliament. He said, pointing towards the BJP people, that there are people who call themselves Hindu but indulge in spreading hatred and violence. We have been seeing in politics that people misuse the name of ‘Hindutva’ without knowing much about it, without knowing what Swami Vivekananda taught us.”

Rahul Gandhi criticised the Modi administration on several issues, including rising prices, unemployment, demonetisation, the Agniveer program, and paper leaks. He accused the government of treating Agniveers as “use and throw labourers” and pushing Manipur into a state of civil war. Regarding NEET, he argued that it has turned into a “commercial” exam favoring wealthy students rather than just a professional one. Gandhi pointed at the ruling party members, alleging that those who claim to be Hindus are involved in violence and hatred. He accused the BJP of not following the core principles of Hinduism and charged it with spreading hate and violence against minorities.
