PM Modi receives warm welcome in Guwahati

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who arrived in Guwahati on Tuesday to attend the swearing-in ceremonies of the three northeastern states where assembly elections were recently held, was greeted warmly. PM Modi was greeted at Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport in Guwahati by Assam Governor Gulab Chand Kataria, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, and Bharatiya Janata Party state president Bhabesh Kalita.

As Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Guwahati, the people were filled with joy. People lined both sides of the streets that the Prime Minister’s convoy passed through. A folk dance was also performed by local artists.

On Tuesday, PM Modi attended the inauguration ceremonies of Conrad Sangma as Chief Minister of Meghalaya and Neiphiu Rio as Chief Minister of Nagaland.

“Joined the oath-taking ceremony of Neiphiu Rio Ji and his Council of Ministers. I am confident that this team, which is a blend of youth and experience, will continue the good governance trajectory of Nagaland and fulfil people’s aspirations. My best wishes to them” tweeted the Prime Minister.

PM arrived in Shillong earlier on Tuesday to attend the swearing-in ceremony of Chief Minister Conrad Sangma and his ministerial team.

“Conrad Sangma Ji and his ministerial team were sworn in at the ceremony. Congratulations to those who took the oath of office. Best wishes to them as they strive to take Meghalaya to new heights of development “The Prime Minister tweeted.

PM Modi is also scheduled to attend Manik Saha’s inauguration as Chief Minister of Tripura on Wednesday.
