In a significant counter-terrorism operation, the Rashtriya Rifles (RR) unit of the Indian Army, in collaboration with the Rajouri Police, successfully thwarted a major terror attack. The operation, conducted deep within the Kalakot forest in Rajouri, led to the discovery of a terrorist hideout stocked with an arsenal of weapons and explosives.
Among the seized items were AK series rifles, a Chinese-made pistol, multiple Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs), and a substantial amount of ammunition. The cache’s discovery underscores the persistent threat posed by terrorist activities in the region and the ongoing efforts to combat them.
Sources indicate that terrorists are receiving weapon supplies through drones, which transport arms and ammunition across the border. These sources further reveal that the locations of such hideouts are being communicated to active terrorists in Rajouri and Poonch, facilitating the establishment of well-armed and strategically positioned hideouts.
