Slangs, Slaps, Punches Airs Live On Live TV Debate, Video Goes Viral

A heated debate on live television spiraled into a physical altercation when panellists began throwing slaps and punches at each other. The debate, focused on fugitive Islamic preacher Zakir Naik’s visit to Pakistan, aired during Zee News’ show Taal Thok Ke, moderated by anchor Anuraag Muskaan. The incident quickly went viral on social media.

The confrontation began when panellist Acharya Vikramaditya, representing the Hindu side, lost his temper over a comment made by his co-panellist, Haziq Khan. During the discussion, Khan referenced a popular belief about Lord Krishna having 16,000 wives, which enraged Vikramaditya. The Acharya lunged at Khan, attempting to slap him. In retaliation, Khan struck back, and both exchanged slaps and insults in front of the live audience.

While the clip ended before the situation fully deescalated, the brief fight and exchange of abuses quickly garnered attention online.

This incident has raised concerns about the rising frequency of such violent outbursts during live TV debates, sparking discussions about the appropriateness of these debates and the selection of panellists. This is not an isolated event, as similar confrontations have become increasingly common on Indian news channels, leading to questions about the role of sensationalism in public discourse.
