Jammu (Jammu and Kashmir) [India], December 26: Addressing concerns following a recent terrorist ambush in Poonch that claimed the lives of four soldiers, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha asserted that the people of the Union Territory cannot be frightened by a small group of 20-25 terrorists.
Speaking at an event commemorating Veer Bal Diwas in Jammu, the LG emphasized the need for society to unite against those attempting to disrupt peace in Jammu and Kashmir. He declared, “Now it’s time to stand together against these anarchists. Just 20-25 terrorists cannot scare the people of J-K.”
LG Sinha called for the elimination of terrorism and its supporting ecosystem, stating that the Union Territory is progressing under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The remarks come in response to the terrorist attack on two Army vehicles in Poonch on December 21, resulting in the tragic loss of four soldiers. Paying his respects to the Sahibzades, the four sons of Guru Gobind Singh Ji, on Veer Bal Diwas, LG Sinha described them as the “epitome of courage, bravery, and sacrifice.”
In a post on X, he highlighted their unwavering dedication to faith and values, stating, “The unwavering strength of Mata Gujri ji & Guru Gobind Singh ji Maharaj inspire all of us to uphold the unity and integrity of the nation.”
Veer Bal Diwas, commemorating the sacrifices of the “Sahibzade,” was declared by Prime Minister Narendra Modi last year on the Prakash Purab of Sri Guru Gobind Singh. The day honors the four sons of Guru Gobind Singh who demonstrated remarkable courage and sacrifice.
