Three Bangladeshi Nationals Arrested In Mumbai For Illegal Residency

Police in Mumbai have arrested three Bangladeshi nationals for allegedly residing illegally in the Vikhroli Park Site area. The arrests were made following information received by authorities regarding Bangladeshi nationals living illegally near the Lower Depot in the Park Site area of Vikhroli. Acting swiftly, the police set up a trap in the area two days ago and successfully apprehended all three individuals.

The arrested individuals have been identified as Yusuf Sofan (58), Mominullah Sheikh (52), and Umedullah Noorulhaq (69). According to police reports, Yusuf entered India a few years ago, and his visa expired in 2020. Similarly, Sheikh was found to be living illegally in the country. Investigation also revealed that Noorulhaq infiltrated India 25 years ago and has since been residing illegally in Mumbai.

Authorities suspect that there may be a larger number of Bangladeshi nationals living in the area illegally and are currently investigating the matter further. The arrests highlight the ongoing efforts by law enforcement to tackle illegal immigration and unauthorized residency in Mumbai.

This incident serves as a reminder of the challenges posed by illegal immigration and the importance of strict monitoring and enforcement measures. Authorities are working diligently to ensure the safety and security of residents by cracking down on such illegal activities.

As the investigation continues, more details are awaited regarding the circumstances surrounding the illegal residency of these individuals and any potential networks facilitating such activities.
