In a shocking incident, SP (Samajwadi Party) leader Nawab Singh Yadav has been detained on charges of attempting to rape a 15-year-old girl.

As per Kannauj Superintendent of Police (SP) Amit Kumar Anand, Uttar Pradesh police got a distress call on 112 helpline. The police received a call at a time of 1:30 am.

According to SP, the minor complained, that she had been stripped and there was an attempt to assault her.

Later, the police came to the spot and upon their arrival, the police rescued the teenager and arrested Nawab Singh Yadav, who was found in an ‘objectionable’ condition.

Meanwhile, a case has been lodged under sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and the POCSO Act. Currently, further investigation is ongoing.

What SP Leader Says?

Reacting to these allegation, Nawab Singh Yadav called it a ‘capitalist conspiracy.’ Speaking in Hindi, he said ‘This is a capitalist conspiracy. The victim denies this, but despite that, she will undergo a medical examination. We remain steadfast in our fight against this injustice.’

But when the news came out, the Samajwadi Party began distancing itself from the leader. Kannauj District President Kaleem Khan stated that Singh is no longer affiliated with the party.

Later, the BJP spokesperson Rakesh Tripathi accused the party of protecting its leaders and alleged, that this incident reflects SP’s true character.
