The first photo, taken 15 years ago, shows Porter and a companion standing before the glacier’s vast expanse. The second, a recent photo, reveals a significant retreat of the glacier, marking a dramatic transformation. Porter poignantly wrote, “Fifteen years minus one day between these photos. Taken at the Rhone glacier in Switzerland today. Not gonna lie, it made me cry.”

Since its posting, Porter’s message has resonated deeply online, amassing over 4 million views and prompting widespread discussion about the urgency of climate action. The comments reflect a mix of alarm, frustration, and calls for immediate intervention.
