Crocodile Killed By Authorities After 40-Year-Old Man Was Dragged In Water While He Was Fishing With Kids

Crocodile attacks on humans are common in various regions worldwide. A recent incident got viral on the Internet from Australia, where a man was attacked by a crocodile.

Reports indicate that the man, aged 40, was fishing with his children on the shore in Cooktown, Queensland, on Saturday, August 3, when he suddenly slipped. The crocodile, seemingly lying in wait, immediately dragged him into the water. It is feared that he may have lost his life.

The incident occurred near the Annan River Bridge, a known fishing spot that is also famous for its crocodile habitat. Queensland Police and rangers launched a search operation in the area to locate the man.

In the latest update, authorities killed a large crocodile believed to be responsible for Australia’s second deadly attack in a month.

In many parts of Australia, crocodiles often move from deep seas into rivers and have even been spotted in cities. Crocodile attacks have become common news for residents.

According to a report, the Northern Territory alone is home to over 100,000 crocodiles.

Despite this, officials noted that crocodile attacks on humans are relatively rare. He added that crocodiles that attack humans are typically captured and killed if found by the authorities.
