Mumbai Gym Session Turns Violent: Trainer Attacks Member with Club

A gym trainer hailing from Mumbai hit a fellow gym member on the head with a mudgar (club) at a gym located in Mulund. The attack led to a serious injury to the man. According to reports, the incident was caught on the CCTV camera inside the gym. The trainer has reportely been arrested after the injured gym member, Yogesh Shinde, filed a police complaint. The police stated that the investigation into the matter is currently uderway.

According to police, the incident occurred on Wednesday. The CCTV footage reveals Mr. Shinde engaged in a workout with the assistance of a trainer. Suddenly, another trainer, initially standing at a distance, picks up a mudgar, approaches Mr. Shinde, and strikes him on the head. As Mr. Shinde clutches his head in pain and sits down, other trainers rush to restrain the attacker.

Mr. Shinde reported to the police that there had been no prior altercation with the trainer. He noted that the trainer had been staring at him before the assault. Despite asking if he was performing the exercises incorrectly, the trainer did not respond and suddenly attacked him.

Following the assault, Mr. Shinde underwent an MRI scan which revealed two fractures on the left side of his skull, according to a report by The Free Press Journal.

While some reports speculate that the trainer was offended by a joke made by Mr. Shinde, there is no confirmation yet on the exact motive behind the attack. The police are continuing their investigation to determine the cause of the violent incident.

The gym has not yet issued a statement regarding the attack.
