Rajalakshmi Aggarwal, head of the Ola Foundation and wife of Bhavish Aggarwal, Co-Founder and CEO of Ola Cabs, made a rare public appearance during Ola Electric’s listing ceremony at the National Stock Exchange (NSE) in Mumbai on Friday.
Sharing the picture, Bhavish penned down a heartfelt note: “The importance of today, this moment is finally sinking in. It felt like a process till yesterday – where we did our work, put in our time and made India one of the largest EV 2W markets. Our hard work has paid off and the world recognises it.”
Bhavish shared a photo from the event on the microblogging platform X, showcasing the couple in elegant traditional Indian attire. Bhavish wore a black kurta pyjama, while Rajalakshmi chose a vibrant yellow saree. Rajalakshmi also reposted the picture shared by her husband. The couple, who live in Bengaluru, had traveled to Mumbai for the significant occasion of Ola Electric’s debut on the National Stock Exchange (NSE).

Reportedly, Bhavish and Rajalakshmi’s relationship began in 2007 while they were both students at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT). Their bond grew stronger during their engineering studies, and after nearly six years of dating, they got married in early 2014.
This was also a pivotal time for Bhavish, as his startup, Ola Cabs, which he co-founded, was experiencing significant growth. Meanwhile, Rajalakshmi had a career as an analyst and marketing manager at Ernst & Young before she started overseeing Ola’s social service initiatives in 2016.
Bhavish has previously mentioned that during the early days of his startup, Rajalakshmi, then his girlfriend, provided him with financial support. While Bhavish often finds himself in the spotlight, Rajalakshmi prefers to keep a low profile and stays out of the public eye.
