On a sunny day at a beach, where people were supposed to enjoy and relax, a bizarre spectacle was witnessed at Misquamicut Beach. A large swarm of dragonflies was seen flying over the crowd.

As per a shared video on X, chaos was triggered on the beach, where beachgoers were frantically looking for cover to protect themselves.

In addition, these supersized dragonflies were flying over the beach’s umbrellas and chairs. Thus, leaving the crowd shocked. To shield themselves from the sudden swarm, beachgoers hid their faces with towels.

Speaking to Boston Globe, a woman said I’ve never seen anything like that. Maybe a few dozen at a time of dragonflies, but never in that amount.’

Ever since the video has gone viral, it has generated a lot of various reactions from netizens. Reacting to this video, one user said  ‘As far as I know, they are pretty harmless, but I know my wife would have been freaking out, she can’t stand bugs.’

Another admiring the dragonflies said ‘That’s so cool, dragonflies are awesome, also one of the strongest insects and a sign of good luck.’

Third user joining the discussion said ‘Something out of a horror movie. I love it’. Meanwhile the fourth user citing a biblical reference said ‘Kinda Reminds me of a story from the Bible about Swarms of Locusts covering the land.’
