Many are curious about Yusuf Dikec’s laid-back appearance and his choice to forgo traditional eye gear. To address this, Dikec’s teammate Sevval Ilayda Tarhan recently spoke about her colleague.

Talking about his casual style, Tarhan explained that Dikec’s use of regular glasses and minimal gear is a personal choice that works well for him. She also described him as warm-hearted and approachable, someone with whom you can share anything—even jokes.

Why No Traditional Gear?

Following his match, Dikec discussed the unexpected online buzz with Turkish media, admitting that he hadn’t anticipated such recognition. He explained his preference for shooting with both eyes open, noting that traditional gear feels uncomfortable to him. In an interview with the Turkish channel TGRT Haber, he acknowledged that his approach is unconventional but remains unfazed by the attention, instead expressed surprise at the level of interest.
