Vinesh was disqualified from the gold medal match in the women’s 50kg wrestling event due to being overweight and has appealed for a joint-silver medal. The CAS has extended the deadline for its decision to August 11, 2024, with a final ruling expected by 6:00 PM, as announced by the International Olympic Committee (IOC).
