In an ongoing Paris Olympics 2024, Indian archer Bhajan Kaur exited from the individual women’s archery event in the 16th round on Saturday. She lost to Indonesia’s Diananda Choirunisa in a shoot-off.
The match ended in a tie with a score of 5-5 (0-2, 2-0, 0-2, 1-1, 2-0), thus leading to a shoot-off. During the whole contest, Kaur was trailing behind her Indonesian opponent. But in the decisive fourth set, Bhajan scored a crucial 10 on her final shot.
However, in the fated shoot-off, 18-year-old Bhajan Kaur narrowly lost the match by scoring 8 points against Choirunisa’s 9. Thus, losing the match.

Meanwhile, Indian shooter who has won two bronze Manu Bhaker has finished fourth in the women’s 25m pistol event at the Paris Olympics.
But Manu also narrowly missed becoming the first Indian to win three medals at the Summer Games. Thus her olympics campaign ended in a shoot-off against Hungary’s Veronika Major of. Both of their scores was tied at 28 points.
