In an ongoing Paris Olympics 2024, Indian badminton player Lakshya Sen was defeated by reigning Olympic champion Victor Axelsen at the Men’s Single semifinal on Sunday.
The Indian shuttler lost the match with a score of 20-22, 14-21.

Despite competing against a reigning champion, Lakshya Sen held his own for a significant portion of the match.
At one point, he led 15-9 in the first set after he won six consecutive points. but, Axelsen made a strong comeback, and due to some errors made by Sen, victor secured the first game with 22-20.

Despite Lakshya Sen trying hard, who was in 7-0 at one point at second set, Axelsen displaying his experience and resilience, overturned the deficit to win the game with 21-14 and then advanced to the gold medal match within 54 minutes.
Denmark’s Victor Axelsen is set to face Thailand’s Kunlavut Vitidsarn on Monday. As for Sen, he had to contend competing for bronze against Malaysia’s Lee Zii Jia.
Earlier, Lakshya had defeated Chinese Taipei’s Chou Tien-Chen with scores of 19-21, 21-15, 21-12.
