Indian wrestler Nisha Dahiya's journey at the Paris Olympics ended on a sour note on Monday when she was defeated by North Korea's Pak Sol Gum in the women's 68 kg quarterfinals.

Paris Olympics 2024: Nisha Dahiya Misses Out On Wrestling Semifinals In 68 kg Category

Indian wrestler Nisha Dahiya’s Paris Olympics campaign came to a disappointing close on Monday as she lost to North Korea’s Pak Sol Gum in the quarterfinals of the women’s 68 kg competition. Dahiya faced a narrow 8-10 defeat after initially leading 8-2. However, an injury forced her to take medical timeouts, allowing Sol Gum to capitalize on the opportunity and stage a comeback that secured her the win.

In the round of 16, Dahiya had previously defeated Tetiana Sova with a score of 6-4 at the Champs de Mars Arena. Despite trailing 1-4 after the first round, Dahiya turned the match around in the second round, ultimately securing her place in the quarterfinals in her debut Olympics.
