The construction of a high-level bridge at Atar Ghat in Morena has enhanced the connectivity between Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan.

High-Level Bridge Connecting Sabalgarh to Karauli Inaugurated

Today, a ceremony was held for the inauguration and foundation laying of various projects worth 5,600 crore rupees, including a high-level bridge over the Chambal River in Mandrayal (Sabalgarh-Karauli section). This event took place in the presence of Shri Nitin Gadkari, Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways, Shri Narendra Singh Tomar, Union Minister of Agriculture and Farmer Welfare, and Chief Minister of Rajasthan, Shri Ashok Gehlot.

On this occasion, Union Minister Shri Tomar stated that with the cooperation of the central and state governments, a 3-kilometer long bridge connecting Sabalgarh and Karauli has been constructed at a cost of 127 crore rupees. Shri Tomar mentioned that the construction of this high-level bridge at Atar Ghat in Morena district has enhanced the connectivity between Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan. He further added that this bridge will not only benefit the residents of both states but also provide significant advantages to small businesses.

Prior to the construction of this bridge, the people of Morena district had to travel more than 100 kilometers to visit the Kailadevi Temple located in Karauli district. However, now they will have the convenience. During rainy seasons, the transportation of small vehicles to that place was done by steamers, which was not suitable from a safety perspective. Additionally, during hot and cold weather, the movement of small vehicles was done through the Peepa Bridge. With this bridge, the people of Rajasthan will now have direct connectivity to Kuno National Park as well.

Shri Tomar stated that in the realm of revolutionizing roads, the credit for all the work being done across the country today goes to Shri Gadkari. Through the coordination between the central and state governments, numerous construction projects are opening doors to progress and development in the interest of the people. Today, millions of people have received gifts of 11 highway projects worth 5,600 crore rupees, in which the construction of a high-level bridge over the Chambal River is also included. The ceremony was addressed by Union Minister Shri Gadkari, as well as Chief Minister Shri Gehlot of Rajasthan and other public representatives.
