The Pune Police raided a spa parlor in the Hinjewadi area of Pimpri Chinchwad and rescued four women, arresting two individuals, including the spa owner, for allegedly running a prostitution racket.
The Anti-Human Trafficking Unit (AHTU) of the Pimpri-Chinchwad police conducted the surprise raid at Breath Spa following a tip-off about the illicit activities. According to Police Inspector Devendra Chavan of the AHTU, the operation led to the rescue of four women and the arrest of two men, including the spa owner.
The accused have been charged under relevant sections of the Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act, 1956, and the Indian Penal Code. The operation was carried out under the supervision of Pimpri Chinchwad Police Commissioner Vinay Kumar Choubey and Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime) Sandeep Doifode. Further details are awaited.
