Dinesh Karthik expressed his displeasure over Tamil Nadu head coach Surakshan Kulkarni’s selection of skipper Sai Sudarshan in the Ranji Trophy semi-finals and the team’s loss to Mumbai. Kulkarni attributed the defeat to Sai Kishore’s decision after winning the toss at BKC Green, resulting in a total of 146 runs. In response, Mumbai took a massive lead of 232 runs on Shardul Thakur’s century, while winners Tamil Nadu managed to concede just 162 runs and 70 runs in the second innings of the match.
As Mumbai progressed to the 48th Ranji final, Kulkarni took on Sai Kishore’s role and said, “We lost the first day at nine o’clock. We should have bowled but the captain had some different ideas.” Dinesh Karthik expressed his displeasure with five thumbs down emojis and criticized the coach for blaming the captain.
Katik condemned the teacher’s action and said, ” This is soo WRONG. This is so disappointing from the coach ..instead of backing the captain who has brought the team to the semis after 7 yrs and thinking it’s a start for good things to happen, the coach has absolutely thrown his captain and team under the bus.”

Despite Tamil Nadu’s early failure, Sai Kishore contributed 6 wickets in the first match, putting Mumbai in a temporary difficult situation with 106/7. However, Thakur’s century and Tanush Kotian’s powerful 89 turned the game in Mumbai’s favour, leaving Tamil Nadu unable to recover from the onslaught.
