Risabh Pant broke this record in the year 2022, when he scored this half century only in 28 balls against arch-rivals Srilanka. He completed this half-century in the historic Chinaswamy stadium in Bengaluru.

Risabh Pant came to bat at number 5 in 2019 against Mumbai Indians in an IPL fixture. Before this game, he had a bad Australian series where he didn’t score many runs and dropped many catches. Pant saw this game as a redemption and scored the fastest half century in the history of the IPL.
This inning is special because he even didn’t show any mercy to the best death bowler in the current day cricket Jasprit Bumrah. He scored the fastest half century in just 18 balls. He finally finished the innings with 78 runs out of 27 balls with the final score being 213 for 6 after 20 overs.
The fastest record till this point was held by MS Dhoni who scored the half-century in just 20 balls against Mumbai.

Risabh Pant played one of the most important knocks against England in the year 2022. India were 5 wickets down at 98 runs. That’s when Pant stepped on the crease and scored 146 runs just out of 111 balls. This famous 146 knock had 19 fours and 4 sixes.
This innings helped India to fight back on the first day of the Birmingham test. He broke the record for fastest century by a wicketkeeper in the test cricket. Earlier, MS Dhoni had the record for the fastest hundred in the year 2005-26 with 93 balls.
