Ravindra Jadeja, India’s veteran all-rounder, has been out since September 2022 after suffering a knee injury at the Asia Cup. He then suffered a knee injury and was sent to the National Cricket Academy (NCA) for rehabilitation. The 34-year-old all-rounder, who has been chosen to India’s team for the first two Tests of the four-match series against Australia, is now in Chennai with Team Saurashtra, who play Tamil Nadu in the Ranji Trophy final league stage on Tuesday.
Representing Chennai Super Kings in the IPL, Jadeja teased CSK fans with a stunning two-word which sent them in a state of frenzy, as he is in their city. He wrote, “Vanakkam Chennai..”
Reacting to the post, one fan wrote, “Welcome back Super King”.
Another fan added, “Jaddu waiting for your rocking performances…”
“Chennai welcome Jadeja my CSK favourite man you”, a fan wrote.
Jadeja has not played competitive cricket since the Asia Cup T20I against Hong Kong on August 31, and his most recent first-class match was the postponed one-off Test against England at Edgbaston last July.
The great all-rounder missed last year’s T20 World Cup, in which India suffered an ugly 10-wicket loss to England in the semi-finals.
