The Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital and Medical Research Institute performed a successful knee operation on India wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant.
According to sources, the operation was performed on Friday, and the cricketer is currently recuperating quickly while being watched over by the medical staff. Pant was being treated for injuries sustained in a car accident on December 30, to Mumbai’s Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital and Medical Research Institute.
The wicketkeeper-batsman will have surgery and further treatments to repair ligament rips, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced in a statement on Wednesday. The medical staff at the BCCI will continue to follow the patient throughout his recuperation and rehabilitation.
According to the statement released, Pant will be directly supervised by Dr. Dinshaw Pardiwala, Director of Arthroscopy & Shoulder Service at the hospital and Head of the Centre for Sports Medicine.
